Sadly, the ParkRoyal Hotel was destroyed in the 2011 earthquake and has now been grassed over. The picture below shows the demolition of this once majestic building.

London - Clock Tower and Houses of Parliament Posted in 1917 Blurb on the back of the postcard reads: Erected in 1840 on the site of the old Palace of Westminster covering 8 acres, contains 100 staircases, 11 open courts and 1,100 apartments.
